POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Hospital for Sick Children is seeking an exceptional Senior Financial Analyst to join our Treasury team. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Finance & Transformation, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the hospital’s financial stewardship and investment management. You will support all aspects of Treasury, Investment and Pension accounting and reporting, helping to ensure SickKids’ financial resources are managed with integrity, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities


    • Cash & Investment Management: Support the management of Hospital cash flow and investment activities by monitoring market trends and providing recommendations for optimizing financial resources.

    • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Work closely with the Hospital’s banking partners and investment managers to explore investment opportunities, and the ability to improve reporting, cash management, and the efficient processing of payments & transfers.
    • Fund Accounting: Execution of accounting functions related to the investments of the SickKids Pension Plan & Trust Funds, including review of investment custodial statements and preparation of journal entries in PeopleSoft.
    • Analysis & Reporting: Prepare budgets, forecasts and variance analyses for Treasury operations. Prepare account reconciliations and provide relevant support during the annual audit.
    • Investment Reporting: Monthly monitoring of investment returns and preparation of quarterly investment performance reports for presentation at Investment & Pensions Committee (subcommittee of the SickKids Board of Trustees) meetings.
    • Process Improvements: Assist in the development and implementation of enhancements to Treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
