A global manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner directly with plant leadership. This role is highly focused on inventory and cost analysis within a plant environment, not a traditional corporate finance role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead inventory analysis: physical counts, BOM, scrap, obsolete/slow-moving.
• Perform cost variance analysis on materials, labor, and overhead.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital investment projects.
• Prepare and analyze plant financial results; communicate findings to leadership.
• Build financial models, reports, and dashboards (Excel, Power BI).
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance (CPA/CMA/MBA preferred).
• 3–8 years in manufacturing or plant-based finance.
• Proven inventory and cost accounting experience required.
• Advanced Excel; ERP experience (QAD, SAP, or similar).
• Independent, proactive work style.
• Local to Elgin or Machesney Park, IL (or relocation-ready).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $88,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
