ABOUT THE JOB

Twilio is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Product Finance team. This will be a highly visible role supporting Twilio’s Messaging channel, including partnering with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights, support strategic decision-making, and drive financial performance. This role will work cross-functionally with R&D business partners, central Finance teams and Accounting.

  • Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of finance experience, ideally in a high growth Technology or Software/SaaS environment.
  • Advanced financial analysis and modeling skills, with experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and think strategically
  • Intense curiosity about understanding key drivers of a multi-faceted business.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Cross-functional relationships and effective communication to non-financial audiences are critical to make an impact.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you’ll:

  • Partner with the Product leadership teams to analyze complex business decisions, provide sound financial perspectives and actionable insights.
  • Lead strategic financial planning processes from start to finish for the Messaging business. This includes managing monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term forecasts.
  • Build, maintain, and improve financial models to analyze product performance, evaluate new initiatives, and support investment decisions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional partners in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Take ownership of month-end close activities, including preparing COGS and OPEX accruals, partnering with Accounting to ensure accurate COGS and OPEX recognition, and performing detailed variance analysis.
  • Partner with analytics team to automate reporting processes

  • Based in British Columbia. : $81,000 CAD - $101,200 CA
