Description: FlapKap, a leading financial growth partner for digitally-native businesses in the Middle East and Africa, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Financial Analyst to join our passionate team. As a Financial Analyst, your role will be to push the boundaries and capabilities of our credit-scoring engine and modules. You will be responsible for conducting financial analyses, improving existing processes, and innovating in finding other alternative scoring techniques and methods. The Financial Analyst will work with different teams (i.e., technology and commercial) to build an engine that continuously monitors and decreases FlapKap’s cost of risk. Job Description Analyze and verify financial statements, Bank statements and other relevant information to assess the creditworthiness of a merchant Credit-scoring potential merchants through building, improving and analyzing financial models Forecasting client’s financials and recommending appropriate financing options based on credit risk and financial needs. Collaborating with Tech team to help automate various processes Iterating and improving on existing processes Working on and improving existing templates Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA/CFA a plus). 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, operations, or accounting. Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling) and familiarity with ERP/financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams.
