OVERVIEW

PHABC is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Financial Officer to lead our day-to-day financial operations and ensure sound fiscal stewardship across our organization. While this is primarily a remote position, candidates must reside within the Capital Regional District and be available for occasional in-person meetings or travel within BC.
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager with regular oversight from the Executive Director, and collaborates closely with program staff, the Board Treasurer, and our external accountant. Our financial approach includes accrual-based, project-specific accounting, deferred revenue recognition based on contract timelines, and strict adherence to charitable compliance requirements. We are looking for someone who can help us maintain and enhance this approach as we grow.
