Description AFG is seeking a highly driven and knowledgeable Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of our planning processes. The career trajectory for the role is to become client-facing in an advisory capacity, requiring the delivery of exceptional comprehensive financial planning and investment management services. You’ll be part of an experienced, collaborative team that prides itself on consistently exceeding expectations. This position offers a remote/hybrid schedule, with two in-office days per week at our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania location. A typical day will include a mix of the following duties and responsibilities: Leadership Duties: Provide guidance and advice to clients and team members across all areas of financial planning. Assist in managing daily activities, workflow, and the efficient operation of the financial planning process and team. Undertake client-specific projects or initiatives that may have a practice-wide planning impact. Introduce new ideas and implement financial planning tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of the planning process. Support meeting preparation, including new case presentations and advisory-level client interactions. Financial Planning Reports & Analysis: Collect, organize, and extract relevant financial information from clients, internal systems and third-party sources to create and update financial planning reports. Summarize and interpret investment assets, trusts, wills, estate and legal documents, retirement accounts, and related materials. Analyze financial planning reports to identify planning opportunities based on sound economic principles. Conduct analysis and research projects, summarize findings, and request feedback from advisors. Requirements You might be a great match if you have: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and two or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three years of exceptional Financial Planning Analyst experience. Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required. A strong attention to detail mindset with a focus on accuracy, initiative, and follow-through. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with clients and colleagues. Strong Microsoft 365 skills as well as experience with fintech platforms such as eMoney, Black Diamond, and Holistiplan.
