WHAT YOU’LL NEED

This is vital work, making sure we deliver the best financial and regulatory analytics to help inform key business decisions and drive forward change that supports the needs of our customers.

As an experienced data analyst, you’ll be part of a team that’s challenging and improving the existing data landscape for financial and regulatory reporting. Day to day you’ll be working as part of a team:

  • Delivering key financial and regulatory reporting across Capital and Impairment
  • Constantly looking to improve the current ways of working
  • Implementing strategic change in line with the goals of the Bank
  • Providing professional expertise to mitigate potential risks, and ensure systems, processes and controls are fit for purpose
  • Collaborating with teams across Risk and Finance to cohesive deliver analytics and change of the future

We understand no one can be an expert in every aspect of Capital and Impairment. So, if you have a strong analytical background and a passion for data, we’d like to hear from you.

Specifically, we’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a good understanding of programming language suitable for our cloud-based technologies i.e. Python / GoogleSQL, SAS. This requires a good understanding of the language and a familiarity with its core structures.
  • Is experienced with advanced Microsoft Excel functions including vlookups, pivot tables and VBA
  • Has the ability to build strong relationships and demonstrate a passion for solving real-world problems with data insight and technology
  • Can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, adapting to challenging and changing priorities with ease
  • Puts attention to detail at the forefront of their work and can implement and work within a robust control environment
  • Is passionate about data insights and takes a highly analytical approach to problem solving
  • Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, on technical subject matter

  • Credit Risk
  • Capital and Impairment financial and regulatory reporting across Retail and Commercial portfolios
  • Use of emerging technologies that are available on the Google Cloud Platform
