Responsibilities

The Financial Systems team leads and oversees the ongoing enhancement of Braze’s Financial platforms, data, security and operating procedures. At our core, we are system optimization people. While we are committed to providing outstanding end-user support, our primary objective is to find and fix inefficiencies, enabling functional teams to perform at levels they never thought possible. As a team, we care about end-user satisfaction, agile methodologies and system integrity. To the company, we provide administrative support, lead digital transformation and process improvement projects, and enable new reporting capabilities.
The Senior Financial Systems Engineer will lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, automated solutions for current and future business needs. You will be responsible for optimizing and refactoring enterprise systems for long-term flexibility and adaptability.
Core responsibilities include designing, developing, and automating business processes within NetSuite, with a strong emphasis on customizations using SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, workflows, and saved searches. A key part of this role involves integrating NetSuite with other critical enterprise systems — including Coupa, Salesforce, and Kyriba — using iPaaS tools like Tray.io to enable seamless data flow and process automation across the financial ecosystem. This hands-on technical position requires deep expertise in NetSuite architecture, its integration points, and a strong understanding of how to build scalable, efficient solutions. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and play a key role in shaping the long-term strategy for financial systems development and automation, with NetSuite at the center.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality Netsuite SuiteScript and JavaScript code, following industry best practices for scalability, maintainability, and performance
  • Lead and manage the integration of enterprise applications—including NetSuite, Coupa, Kyriba and Salesforce—ensuring seamless and reliable data flow through robust interfaces, with a focus on iPaaS solutions like Tray.io
  • Lead and own the delivery of multiple development initiatives in an Agile environment, leveraging Atlassian Jira to manage sprints, track progress, and ensure timely execution of financial systems projects
  • Conduct thorough implementation testing in line with SDLC and change management policies
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Finance, Revenue Operation,Treasury, IT, and Business Operations—to deliver effective, scalable system solutions
  • Design, write, and execute automated tests to maximize test coverage for critical system features
  • Support both new and existing customizations across systems like Netsuite and Tray.io, whether developed internally or by external partners
  • Manage and resolve issues in Jira and Service Desk, including incidents, problems, and system changes
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses to continuously improve system architecture
