About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Fire Engineer to join our growing team in Auckland. You’ll be working alongside an experienced team of Fire Engineers on a wide range of projects across many industries. With previous Fire Engineering experience, you’ll be involved in the detailed design and construction monitoring of these project. This role will also see you develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and provide technical support to our team, which could include mentoring and training in order to nurture and grow our talent from within. This role will also see you involved in:
- Undertaking detailed engineering and fire designs and produce precise calculations whilst adhering to quality standards.
- Developing an understanding of critical construction elements.
- Creating clear project proposals with project directors.
- Monitoring construction, responding to queries, and minimizing the need for redesign.
- Identifying and communicating risks for prompt resolution.
- Monitor time for accurate project completion estimates.
- Recognize and communicate Professional Indemnity risks.
- Prepare correspondence for assigned projects.
- Liaise with authorities, fire service, and relevant stakeholders on compliance.
About You
We’re looking for experienced fire engineers who ideally qualified in Fire Engineering (could have an undergraduate in Mechanical, Structures or Civil) and a minimum of 4 years experience. Ideally, you’ll also have prior experience with performance-based design and have worked on large and complex projects. Your excellent technical skills will be matched by your ability to build meaningful client relationships and you’ll be a confident communicator with the willingness to help out at every level.
