The Senior Fire & Life Safety Engineer will lead the design, review, and supervision of Fire & Life Safety systems, ensuring compliance with Saudi Civil Defense regulations, international standards, and project requirements, while serving as the technical authority for all fire engineering matters. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Fire Protection & Fire Fighting Systems: Design, review, and coordinate sprinkler, standpipe, hose reel, fire pump, foam, clean agent, and water mist systems, including hydraulic calculations and pump room layouts. Fire Alarm & Detection Systems: Design addressable and conventional fire alarm systems, voice evacuation, BMS integration, and prepare shop drawings and technical submittals. Passive Fire Protection: Review and specify fire-rated walls, doors, partitions, fire stopping, and structural fire protection; verify on-site compliance. Smoke Management & Pressurization: Design and review smoke extraction, staircase/lobby pressurization, and car park ventilation systems; coordinate CFD studies and ensure compliance with SBC and NFPA standards. Emergency & Life Safety: Design emergency lighting, exit signage, egress paths, and evacuation plans; prepare Fire & Life Safety strategy reports. Fire Strategy & Code Compliance: Prepare fire strategy reports, review designs for compliance with SBC, NFPA, IBC/IFC, and BS/EN standards; liaise with Saudi Civil Defense, local authorities, consultants, and clients. Project & Technical Leadership: Lead design coordination, review contractor submissions, conduct site inspections and testing, mentor junior engineers, and support proposals and technical presentations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Fire Engineering, or relevant discipline. 10+ years of experience in Fire & Life Safety engineering. Solid hands-on experience in Saudi Arabia. Deep knowledge of Saudi Civil Defense approval processes. Experience in high-rise, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, and large infrastructure projects preferred. Certifications (Preferred / Required) CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) – NFPA PMP (Preferred) Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Registration Civil Defense Approval Engineer status (advantageous)​​​​​​​ Technical Skills Strong command of: AutoCAD Revit (BIM coordination) Hydraulic calculation software (Elite, Canute, etc.) Fire alarm programming basics Ability to prepare: Cause & Effect Matrix Hydraulic Calculation Reports Fire Strategy Reports Compliance Reports CFD analysis and reporting Engineering based FLS Design Additional Information Reports To: General Manager/Operations Manager
