SENIOR FIRE SAFETY ADVISOR

This role will help shape our fire safety across our Kew and Wakehurst sites, providing guidance and support right across the organisation, supporting an ambitious building programme, large scale events and scientific research work.
To deliver RBG Kew’s mission by: ensuring the delivery and implementation of the fire strategy, supporting Kew to maintain its compliance with fire safety legislation, bringing practical fire safety knowledge into the planning stages, and develop a culture that is attuned to fire safety.

This role sits within the Health & Safety Team who work across all departments at Kew, supporting with a wide range of issues, including risk assessment, training and accident investigation. Our goal is to make sure Kew remains a safe place to work, fulfils its statutory obligations and importantly fosters a culture of good health and safety management. This role is a pivotal part of integrating fire safety into a core part of the wider work of the team.
We are seeking to expand the team to provide a dedicated focus on fire safety issues across RBG Kew, supporting our ambitious estate and event plans, as well as ensuring our processes and systems are compliant.
Kew is a fast paced, multi-faceted and ever changing, unique environment and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The post holder will work closely with all departments, including our Estates team, ensuring risk assessments are conducted and a forward plan of works managed.
Interviews are due to take place on 23 & 24 September.

The salary will be £45,200 - £52,312 per annum, depending on skills and experience [Band E]
