ABOUT THE POSITION.
They are looking for a Senior Fire Services Engineer who will lead the design, coordination, and implementation of fire protection systems for a variety of projects. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in fire safety engineering, regulations, and standards to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge solutions that meet both client needs and regulatory requirements. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in fire services engineering, with a focus on building services design and project management
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification preferred
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, smoke control systems, and fire suppression systems
- Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire protection measures into building designs effectively
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams throughout the design and construction phases
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project requirements are understood and met
