Description

This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. The EIB offers you the opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment. We also offer relocation support.
The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its Chief Financial Controller Directorate (CFC), Corporate Real Estate Department (CRE), Real Estate Development Division (RED), Capital Projects Unit (CP) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a (Senior) Fit-out Project Manager*.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion and monitor the quality of the delivered services.
  • Establish and manage trustful working relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders ensuring smooth collaboration and managing organizational change.
  • Ensure adherence to contract specifications, industry standards, time and budgetary contractual commitments and propose mitigation or corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Ensure documentation of the project and its deliverables are maintained and up-to-date and contribute to periodic activity reporting, dashboards and annual reports.
  • Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditure and contribute to the elaboration of the annual budget and its follow-up
  • Adapt and manage existing and new subcontractor contracts and prepare terms of reference for calls for tender, as needed and in own domain of expertise
  • Seek continuous improvement for all activities; report on “lessons learned” and integrate new knowledge and experience in subsequent activities
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations in own domain of expertise to contribute to the design of appropriate solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in engineering, architecture or a related subject.
  • Project Management Certification, PM2, Prince2 or PMP/PMI would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within or for a public sector or institutional environment including the management of large-scale fit-out, or capital investment projects.
  • Proven experience in delivering fit-out projects within the context of ongoing construction works or broader campus developments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple disciplines and coordinate diverse stakeholders, including architecture, interior design, workplace technologies, sustainability, and user experience, to deliver integrated project outcomes.
  • Experience in managing communication and organizational change for real estate projects.
  • Experience in the design and deployment of audiovisual systems in boardrooms, executive spaces, or conference centres will be considered an asset.
  • Good knowledge of procurement regulations and practices within the EU.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (**) with a good command of the other. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
