Working arrangements: Hybrid working arrangements (i.e. a combination of onsite attendance at AUSTRAC’s office and remote working) will be considered at the discretion of the Hiring Manager with a typical 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.
Length of contract: 12 months
Contract extensions: 1x 12 months
Security clearance: Must have Negative Vetting Level 1
Rates: $110 - $140 per hour (inc. super)
The Australian Transaction Reports & Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) is seeking a Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.
Please note AUSTRAC requires an IDAM (ForgeRock) Engineer for this role which has been aligned to Software Engineer job family.

The duties & responsibilities of the IDAM Engineer are:

  • Support the delivery of a transformational new user registration process;
  • Guidance and advice as part of the implementation of the transformational new user registration process;
  • Work with AUSTRAC SMEs on ForgeRock component configurations, service checks and ensure service stability for current and future workloads;
  • Design, develop, test & implement identity management frameworks, systems and protocols;
  • Develop, implement and manage IAM systems including: SSO, authentication and access controls to ensure security, confidentiality, integrity and availability of IAM systems and data.
  • Develop and manage patterns for application deployment that manage security at every level.
  • Ensure that all procured and / or developed IAM systems are implemented properly and function as intended.
