About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our merchant partners, such as restaurants and retail stores, are vital to Wolt’s success. Through our platform, we help them grow their business reach while at the same time offering our customers an attractive selection. Today, we work with over 100,000 merchants across 30+ countries.
To support this ecosystem, we have a Global Merchant team that collaborates with local teams to improve how we acquire, onboard, and manage merchants while ensuring a best-in-class experience. This is where you come in.
As part of the Merchant Finance & Strategy team, your role (Manager, Merchant Finance & Strategy) is to support the financial and operational performance of our merchant domain. You’ll be involved in everything ranging from annual planning to weekly performance reviews. You’ll lead business review processes and take on deep-dive projects to identify opportunities and risks across all 30 Wolt markets spanning from Finland to Greece and from Germany to Japan. Our domain comprises items like mx monetization (commissions, other merchant fees), selection growth and quality, Wolt merchant workforce optimization and performance management to name a few. We’re in essence ensuring that we have the right balance in sharing value between Wolt and merchants, that we’re able to acquire attractive selection at good efficiency and that we’re also able then to grow together with the merchants we have on the platform.
You’ll work closely with the four-member Merchant F&S team, partner with global and local merchant teams, and collaborate with regional Finance & Strategy colleagues who oversee country-level P&Ls.

QUALIFICATIONS:

6+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or similar highly analytical role
Experience from headcount planning and workforce performance management is a clear advantage

Good understanding of data flows, structures and databases are a must (knowledge of SQL or Python an advantage)
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner, in English
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards considered an advantage
