The company is redefining banking through its innovative Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. To strengthen the team, we are looking for an FP&A Specialist (m/f/d) who will act as the financial driving force behind the planning and controlling departments. In this role, you will not only track numbers – you will shape the company's financial story, analyze complex unit economics, and act as a key sparring partner for senior management.

YOUR TASKS

  • Independent management of the annual budgeting process and multi-year corporate planning, including coordination with the specialist departments and critical questioning of assumptions.
  • Creation and further development of high-quality monthly reports and management reports. They translate complex data into clear, strategic recommendations for action for the CFO, CEO, and board of directors.
  • Development, maintenance and scaling of integrated financial models (profit and loss statement, balance sheet and capital planning) as well as conducting scenario analyses taking into account regulatory key figures such as CET1 and leverage ratio.
  • Detailed analysis of contribution margins, transaction costs, supplier expenses and cost-to-serve metrics to optimize the gross margin within the BaaS business model.
  • A trusted sparring partner for technology, sales, operations and risk management in strategic initiatives, pricing and partner onboarding.
  • Ensuring correct cost allocations and contributing to the further development of audit-proof financial processes in a regulated environment in accordance with the requirements of BaFin and SRB.

YOUR PROFILE

  • 5-6 years of relevant professional experience in financial institutions (ideally banks), fintechs, strategy consultancies, investment banks or data-driven finance functions.
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a comparable field of study.
  • Solid knowledge of financial modeling, including profit and loss, balance sheet and capital planning, scenario modeling and business case analysis.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience in creating structured models, dashboards, and management presentations.
  • Practical experience with Pigment or similar enterprise planning solutions to improve forecasting processes and planning agility.
  • Knowledge of analysis and automation tools such as SQL, VBA or Python is advantageous, especially when dealing with large amounts of data and process optimization.
  • A good understanding of financial reports, profitability drivers and cost structures in banks or other regulated environments.
  • A structured, detail-oriented approach to work, as well as strong stakeholder management skills. You can constructively question assumptions while simultaneously reconciling commercial requirements with regulatory specifications.
  • Fluent English skills are required. German language skills are an advantage, but not a requirement.
