What's the role? This is a highly visible role that supports the organisation’s planning and reporting cycle for NCA. The position acts as a key link between individual business partnering teams and the executive leadership overseeing NCA as a whole. You will be accountable for delivering strategic insights through internal and external reporting to senior stakeholders across News Corp Australia and Global Head Office (New York), helping to drive commercial value. A key part of the role is collaborating closely with other commercial finance teams to understand all areas of the business, then distilling results into clear, meaningful narratives for leadership. Responsibilities Own and craft the narrative of NCA’s financial results by analysing performance trends and key drivers. Explain variances to budget and forecast, delivering clear insights to Executive Leadership and Global Head Office (New York). Support strategic decision-making for the Executive Leadership Team and Finance & Strategy Committee, including profitability analysis and cost/stretch target setting. Ensure the integrity of FP&A systems and act as the SME for system-related initiatives with the Systems & Data team. Respond to ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements, automation, and standardised reporting to deliver a best-practice finance function. Who are you? 5+ years of relevant experience in finance or FP&A. Post-graduate qualifications (e.g., CA/CPA). Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial results into actionable business insights. Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail. Able to see the “bigger picture” while understanding supporting detail. Collaborative and able to build strong partnerships to achieve shared objectives. A self-starter with accountability, drive, and initiative. Proficient in Google Sheets and Google Slides; experience with TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics Workspace) or similar systems is advantageous.
