SR. FRONT END DEVELOPER

On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Sr. Front End Developer for a Permanent opportunity in Markham ON, in a hybrid work capacity.

SR. FRONT END DEVELOPER - MANDATORY SKILLS

• 7+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field, and/or relevant experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+) concepts of scopes, prototype inheritance, closures, promises, async and await, shared memory etc. Experience with trans pilers, package management, build tools and modules.
• Solid CSS3 skills including layouts, media-queries, responsive design, gradients, transitions, positioning, flex, box models, floating and block elements, inlining, preprocessors etc.
• Hands on frontend testing skills using frameworks such as Vitest or Jest, use of mocks/spies/stubs, visual regression, code coverage and CI/CD integrations.
• Demonstrated experience writing UI tests (unit, integration, and acceptance)
• Experience in developing and managing robust component libraries, including proficiency with Storybook for documentation, testing, and showcasing components.
• Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 or later) and inclusive design practices, coupled with a strong commitment to delivering pixel-perfect, high-quality work.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with accessibility standards (a11y) and best practices.
• Proficiency in internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) strategies for multi-language and multi-region support.
• Have experience implementing designs and collaborating with designers using tools like Figma.
• Experience working with TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of performance, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and responsive web design principles
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
