We are currently seeking a senior front-end developer, physically residing in Canada - specifically residing in British Columbia or Alberta, and with Canadian residency and the full unrestricted right to work in Canada without limitations, to join our team and play a crucial role in expanding our industry-leading system the DMS (Dispute Management System). THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE SEEKING:
- A minimum of 5 years of complex larger code-base custom application development experience, with a minimum of 5 recent years of front-end development experience.
- A clean criminal record check / CRC (no greater than minor infractions)
- Proficiency with team collaboration and project management tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, Trello, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience developing web applications that work seamlessly across modern devices and browsers (including responsive layouts).
- Experience with modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS development tools and best practices.
- Experience building rich client applications using MVC frameworks.
- Experience with client/server data interactions and RESTful API architectures.
- Experience with databases, data, and writing SQL queries for data viewing and management..
- Experience with code management, CI/CD tools, code reviews, version control, and automated build processes and pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ESLint, WebPack).
- Experience with agile and/or iterative-waterfall project delivery processes.

- The ability to solve problems efficiently and clearly explain evaluated options, final solutions, and the rationale behind them.
- A* proven ability to learn existing codebases* and adapt requirements to implement changes, improvements, or new functionality.
- The ability to develop readable, well-architected, and performant UI code.
- The ability to create and implement testing plans to ensure high initial build quality.
WHAT YOUR APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE:
- Validation that you currently reside in British Columbia or Alberta and are a resident with no restrictions associated to working in Canada.
- Confirmation that you have a clean criminal record check with no greater than minor infractions.
- A resume with examples of relevant work that clearly shows at least 5 years of directly related UI experience, that clearly indicate your contributions to each area of experience, and that describe how their work is related to the abilities and skills we are seeking. Wherever possible, you should provide examples or links to portfolios that showcase visual examples of your work.
- A cover letter that describes at least one example in your resume that represents larger complex UI code-bases that connect to a mid-tier (API’s). For each example describe their size of the code base in something like lines of UI code, # of API’s, # of view states, etc… and describes the specific contribution that you feel best showcase your skills, abilities and experience. Wherever possible please include references to support your work and outcomes.
