Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer who will be responsible for reducing mainframe dependency and building cloud-native solutions. The Full stack engineer will be hybrid in Merrimack, NH.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SENIOR FULL STACK JAVA DEVELOPER INCLUDE:

• 7+ years of experience in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot development
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, collections, and multithreading
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, SQS, EC2, IAM
• Experience with Kafka for event-driven architecture and real-time data processing
• Familiarity with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure as code
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases; familiarity with CockroachDB is a plus
• Solid understanding of testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to front-end frameworks and UI development is a plus

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Build and test end-to-end data pipelines and APIs to bridge mainframe systems with AWS cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and peer developers to deliver technical improvements and platform enhancements
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline development, and testing automation
• Use observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production systems
