SENIOR FULL STACK JAVA DEVELOPER:

On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Full Stack Java Developer for a 6.5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SENIOR FULL STACK JAVA DEVELOPER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves the enhancement and modernization of legacy applications. The role includes developing new features, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with Government of Ontario IT Standards (GO-ITS 54).

SENIOR FULL STACK JAVA DEVELOPER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 15+ years of overall experience, with 10+ years in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Angular, Node.js
  • Experience with relational databases and Oracle applications
  • Strong understanding of Agile, SCRUM, and DevOps methodologies
  • Experience with AODA compliance and PDF generation
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and Oracle database development
  • Experience with IBM WebSphere and vulnerability assessment

SENIOR FULL STACK JAVA DEVELOPER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Public sector experience
  • Hands-on agile/DevOps experience
  • Experience with middleware and gateways
  • Knowledge of RAD methodologies
  • Familiarity with installation script analysis and debugging
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and expand data pipelines through ETL activities
  • Translate technical specifications into tested applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems during software use
  • Develop UI web applications for data correction by ministry staff
  • Collaborate with analysts to ensure code meets requirements
  • Lead all phases of the SDLC, including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation
