WHERE YOU FIT IN | We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Product Engineer who can own delivery end-to-end, from frontend to backend and operate effectively in an AI-native development environment. This is not a traditional developer role. At Whiteshield, we are building products and systems for governments and large institutions, where speed, ownership, and engineering judgment matter. Our workflows are evolving rapidly with AI - from development to QA and delivery and we need engineers who are already comfortable operating in this way. You should be able to: Take a feature from idea → architecture → implementation → deployment Move fast using AI tools, without compromising on quality Work independently while collaborating closely with product and leadership WHAT YOU WILL DO | Own end-to-end feature development across frontend, backend, and data layers Build production-grade applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and modern web stacks Design and implement clean, scalable APIs and services Work directly with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to shape solutions Debug issues across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers Use AI tools (LLMs, agents, automation) to accelerate development and delivery Contribute to a fast-moving, highly collaborative, remote team environment Continuously improve how we build including AI-driven workflows and automation MUST HAVES | 5+ years experience building production web applications Strong, hands-on experience with Next.js and React (mandatory) Proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend architecture Experience building and consuming REST APIs Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) Proven ability to own features end-to-end (UI → API → database) Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across the full stack Experience working in remote, autonomous environments Comfortable using AI tools in your daily development workflow (not just experimenting) NICE TO HAVE | Experience with .NET / ASP.NET Core Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms Familiarity with Playwright or automated testing frameworks Experience integrating LLMs into applications TailwindCSS or modern UI frameworks WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE | You can take ambiguous requirements and turn them into working features You ship high-quality code quickly, using AI effectively You understand trade-offs in architecture, performance, and scalability You collaborate closely with product and design - not just execute tickets You maintain engineering rigor, even in a fast-moving AI-driven environment THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF | You are not confident working with Next.js in production You rely on AI without understanding what the code is doing You prefer highly structured environments You are only comfortable in frontend-only or backend-only roles You struggle with ambiguity, speed, or ownership Work on high-impact projects with governments and large institutions Be part of a team pushing the boundaries of AI-driven software development Operate in a high-trust, high-autonomy environment Build products that go beyond dashboards - real-world impact at scale
