Description
Senior Full Stack Software Engineer: We are an integrated design + technology studio. We’re united by our love of technology and its potential for making lives better. Some of us are big picture thinkers, some of us creatively driven. And some of us love nothing more than deep diving into a thorny technical challenge. But we’re all human, inspired by human stories and driven by a desire to create human-centred experiences. Love making things for people to enjoy? Join the team designing the technology that matters. About the Role: As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at RUSH, you will lead the design and delivery of complex, high-impact projects across web and mobile platforms. You will take ownership of features from concept to deployment, balancing technical excellence with delivery speed, with quality, owning testing, performance, security, and observability across the stack. RUSH is a service-based provider, so you will work across a variety of client projects and technology stacks. Adaptability, leadership, and a strong technical foundation are essential in this role. Key Responsibilities: Frontend & UX: Build high-quality, responsive web and mobile interfaces using modern frameworks (Angular or similar) and mobile technologies (Ionic, or Flutter). Design Systems: Contribute to design systems with Storybook or similar tools. Backend & API: Develop and scale services using Java Spring Boot, .NET Core (C#), and Node.js. API Management: Define and consume robust REST or gRPC APIs. Quality: Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Vitest, Playwright, xUnit, Moq, or similar modern testing frameworks. DevOps, Cloud, and Delivery: Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications using AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes. Infrastructure: Define infrastructure with Terraform and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient rollouts, observability, and reliability. Architecture and Collaboration: Contribute to microservices and event-driven designs (Service Bus, Event Hubs, RabbitMQ). Mentorship: Collaborate closely across product, design, and engineering teams while mentoring others. About You: You are a hands-on engineer who combines technical depth with leadership. You write clean, maintainable code, mentor others, and thrive in collaborative, fast-moving environments. Our 'must-haves' for this role include: Expertise in Angular, Node.js, and .NET Core (C#). Strong experience with Java Spring Boot. Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes. Solid testing practices across backend and frontend. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Additional things we'd really like to see: Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architecture, and observability tools. A security-first mindset and experience with performance tuning. Understanding of networking and reliability fundamentals. About Us: At RUSH, we believe in building a culture of excitement, collaboration, and growth. We design and build technology with a focus on making a positive impact on people's lives. We’re a diverse team of big-picture thinkers, creative minds, and technical problem solvers, all united by our passion for creating human-centred experiences. Joining RUSH means being part of an awesome office culture, filled with fun social events, weekly cheese and drinks, monthly dinners, and frequent team lunches. We're committed to your growth and development, offering personalised development plans, group training, and lunch and learn sessions. Ready to take charge? We'd love to hear from you!
