WHAT DOES A FULLSTACK ENGINEER DO AT CLOVER?

In this role, we’re looking for an experienced backend software engineer to help improve/expand our platform and product. You will accomplish this by maintaining and adding new features, investing/reproducing/resolving bugs, creating helpful documentation, and re-architecting our system to achieve better scalability and availability.
Partner with the Infrastructure, Product and Design teams, you will be pragmatic in balancing priorities and enjoy working in an iterative model where specifications are constantly changing.

• Design/implement and maintain REST APIs for mobile and web clients including our web dashboard, 3rd party apps
• Design/implement and maintain React applications
• Identify technical requirements in product meetings and assist the business team with realistic project planning and feature development; translate product requirements into functional, maintainable, extensible software that is in-line with company objectives
• Own your services /features from development through deployment and production monitoring
• Participate in design/code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers
• Partner with the Infrastructure Team to design data models to support large-scale highly available services
• Work with QA to develop test plans/strategies
• Participate in a regular on call rotation
