About you

• You're an experienced full-stack engineer who does your best work when things are moving fast.
• Technical expertise within Agile environments using Node.js, TypeScript and React.js, with NestJS and Next.js, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis and modern CI/CD pipelines. Our preferred cloud environment is AWS.
• Ideally you've worked in fintech or financial services, so you know what's at stake when software handles people's money, and you care about getting it right.
• You think critically and ask "why" before "how."
• You can pull apart a complex problem, weigh the trade-offs, and land on the solution that makes sense, not just the first one that works. That same judgement makes you good at reviewing what AI agents produce: you can spot what's off and know how to fix it.
• You're adaptable and you enjoy a fast pace. When priorities shift you adjust without losing momentum, and you'd take a dynamic environment over a predictable one any day.
• You're also a genuine collaborator. You share what you know, welcome a challenge to your thinking, and want the team to win, not just your own work.

• Production experience with Kotlin or Java on Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and Flyway migrations.
• Also bring TypeScript and React experience in production: the frontend is yours too.
• Have genuine agentic development experience, not a tool you've tried once: the ability to scope a small change laterally, work out everywhere it touches the codebase, and direct an agent accordingly.
• Work with a test-driven mindset and build in preventative controls as standard.
