We are now looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer.
The preferred location for the position is in Helsinki, Finland, but also Belgrade, Serbia is a possible location. We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and the possibility of hybrid work.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Our work in the Ports R&D organization ranges from conception to full-fledged productization. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, your job will be to guide the technical implementation across both areas while carefully considering the unique requirements based on the nature of each project. Business requirements are provided for us but we should understand them and potentially challenge the requirements if they do not make sense from a technical point of view. You will be working to implement features, products, and prototypes with our specific choice of technologies (C#, TypeScript, Angular/React, Azure), emphasizing building cloud applications.

AS A SENIOR FULL STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER., YOUR WORK WILL FOCUS ON THESE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate and lead in development efforts for Ports products and services.
• Participate in the design of software architecture centered around microservices, containerization, and integrations.
• Work on solutions that will scale and adapt to business needs both on the cloud and on-prem.
• Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and methodologies make proposals of benefits and costs to decision-makers, and watch as theory becomes practice.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through Agile methodologies to design and implement solutions for complex maritime challenges.
• Mentor the organization on development practices, share your knowledge, and ensure that your knowledge will propagate throughout the organization.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior developer role.
• Strong knowledge in C#, TypeScript, Python, Docker, Azure, GitHub Actions, unit testing/integration testing, SQL
• Any of the following experience is considered a plus: Mobile application development, GCP, AWS, Message queues, MSSQL
• The ability to communicate abstract concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in the maritime industry, particularly in port operations or maritime logistics, is considered to be highly beneficial. Knowledge of supply chain and logistical industry practices is also advantageous.
• Experience in networking configurations, security protocols, and deployment strategies is considered a significant plus.
  In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 5 %, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
