JOB DESCRIPTION – SENIOR FULLSTACK DEVELOPER
The Senior Fullstack Developer will be responsible for advanced analysis, design, development, and maintenance of software applications. This role will work closely with the Texas Early Childhood Integrated Data System (ECIDS) project team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements. The developer will be engaged in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and support, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and governance structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements and create comprehensive technical and design documentation.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain software applications using industry-standard frameworks and tools.
- Build ETL processes for transporting and aggregating large data sets between systems.
- Write efficient, secure, and scalable code adhering to TEA and industry standards.
- Conduct testing to validate that solutions align with requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documents such as design specs, process flows, object/data models, project plans, environment diagrams, and test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to estimate development effort, discuss architecture/design, triage and resolve issues, and provide status updates.
- Identify technical specifications and data integration requirements to support ECIDS implementation.
- Contribute to data governance structures that support statewide ECIDS initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in creating ETL processes for large-scale data transport and aggregation.
- 15+ years of experience with SQL Server or Oracle stored procedures, PL/SQL, Dynamic SQL, and exception handling.
- 10+ years of experience in an object-oriented framework such as .NET Core or Java.
- 10+ years of experience with XML, JSON, API Testing, JavaScript, and JQuery.
- 10+ years of experience working within mid-to-large complex enterprise SDLC environments.
- 2+ years of experience working with Texas state agencies.
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps).
- Experience with project tools such as Jira, Tempo, BitBucket, and Confluence.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
