ABOUT THE PRODUCT AND THE TEAM

We are developing brand new SAP product, which will offer SaaS experience to the admin end user to set up the data integration architecture and to the business end user to get insights into this underlying data.
You will be part of the SAP Foundation Cockpit team in Budapest. With this new product, SAP will offer SaaS experience to provision E2E business scenarios represented by insight applications. This new SAP product will offer the ability to on-board an E2E business scenario, that brings high business value to the customer and ensures that all required technical parts are properly provisioned and connected.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a developer who would like to build the foundation of our solution. As a developer of the BDC Cockpit team, you work in an innovative cloud environment and being part of an agile team alongside experienced colleagues and early talents. You will focus on all stages of the development cycle: design, code, test, and assure quality of the new SAP product. You will contribute to the development of the new SAP product and to its ongoing maintenance. You will have the opportunity to support stakeholders and customers and to collaborate with members from other teams in this new SAP project.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in computer science or related
• 7+ years’ experience in software development projects in any role. This job requires familiarity with the challenges that software development poses, such as working with an existing code base and repository.
• Professional work experience in software development
• Fluent English language
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript languages in Node.js environment (we want to migrate backend from Node.js to Java)
• Proficiency in JAVA programming language
• Proficiency in UI frameworks (React or Angular)
• UI5 as an advantage
• Network communication (Ajax, JSON, http, etc.)

Being a team player working with multiple development teams and across locations will be essential for your team’s success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing cloud services in an Agile Scrum development environment. Participate in end to end software development lifecycle, including the following:

• Work on design, coding with languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript and Java
• Work on cloud-native development for microservices architectures
• Cloud Infrastructure
• CI/CD tasks in a global development environment using technologies such as Jenkins, etc.
• Work with secure development best practices and methodologies throughout the development and deployment processes for new or existing solutions
• Work in an agile team, that uses Scrum framework to self-organize and work towards the development goals.
• Be part of a globally distributed group that has an enormous impact in the Enterprise Software industry on a global scale.
