What awaits you in your new role?  To further develop our digital platforms , 

we are looking for an experienced software developer. The focus is on the conception, development, and optimization of scalable applications, APIs, database-driven processes, and workflow-based systems. The role combines technical understanding with process experience from the environment of a metering point operator, particularly in the areas of market communication, device and installation management, measurement data processing, and the automation of operational processes.

Your 

 tasks in detail:

• You will support the continuous (further) development of software applications with a focus on backend systems, APIs and process-oriented platform logic.
• You are part of the development of high-performance applications using Python, especially based on Django, Django REST Framework and/or FastAPI.
• You will be responsible for modeling, automation, and technical implementation of business workflows, ideally/perhaps even using Camunda and BPMN.
• You are part of the development and optimization of database-driven applications, as well as the creation and maintenance of SQL queries, evaluations, and data models using PostgreSQL.
• You will help with architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable, and robust software systems.
• You feel comfortable in the Linux environment.
• You will support the design and implementation of automated tests, integration tests and other quality assurance measures.
• You will work on CI/CD processes, deployment automation, and the containerization of applications with Docker.
• You will help design cloud-enabled application architectures, microservices, and event-driven communication concepts.
• You ensure close collaboration with product management, specialist departments, operations and the development team to successfully implement professional and technical requirements.

What do we want from you  ?

• You bring several years of experience in professional software development as a fullstack developer, backend developer or in a comparable role, as well as very good knowledge of Python and Django, Django REST Framework and/or FastAPI.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, especially in the areas of joins, views, aggregations and data modeling, combined with experience in API design, REST, system integration and technical integration concepts.
• Experience with Camunda, BPMN or comparable workflow/process engines.
• Experience with message queues or event streaming, especially RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• You are familiar with Linux, shell, Docker, and containerized applications.
• Experience with cloud environments or cloud-enabled application architectures, as well as a good understanding of microservices, distributed systems, service interfaces, and event-driven communication.
• You also bring an understanding of software architecture, clear responsibilities, maintainability and testability, as well as experience with Git, code reviews and CI/CD processes.
• You may have experience in the energy industry or in the field of metering point operators and be familiar with energy industry process chains, metering and installation processes, gateway administration, control boxes or the requirements of Section 14a EnWG.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is desirable.
• Experience in using monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus or Grafana).
• Experience with AI-supported development tools, as well as in the supervision and training of new employees or junior developers, completes your profile.
