This is what you can expect from us

• Development of Angular micro frontends and their integration into the portal shell using module federation
• Further development of our shared design system and component library (ista-ui), as well as participation in the continuous Angular version migration.
• Design, development and operation of the associated Java backends, microservices (Spring Boot) and REST APIs
• Implementing event-driven integrations with Azure Service Bus
• Running cloud-native applications on Kubernetes, including CI/CD via our Internal Developer Platform (IDP)
• Ensuring code quality, test coverage, performance, and accessibility through code reviews, clean code principles, and automation.
• Contributing to frontend architecture and technology decisions within the chapter
• Continuous development of engineering practices, including AI-supported development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
• For senior level: Technical leadership within the squad, mentoring of colleagues, and responsibility for larger components and technical areas (ownership).

This is what you bring with you

Must-have

• Completed studies in computer science, software engineering, or comparable practical experience
• At least 2 years of experience in full-stack web development (Software Engineer) or at least 5 years (Senior Software Engineer)
• Proficient use of Angular and TypeScript, especially in the areas of component architecture, RxJS and state management
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices and REST APIs
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in working with relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud-native concepts (our target platform is Microsoft Azure)
• Experience in agile teams and working methods (e.g. Scrum)
• Fluent English skills (working language in the team) and German skills at least at B2 level.
• For senior-level: Practical experience with micro-frontend architectures, ideally based on module federation.
