Location: Remote (Europe & UK)

Salary Range: EUR 80k-100k or similar dependent on location.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full Stack Expertise: Solid experience building and maintaining modern web applications across both backend and frontend.
  • Frontend Skills: Strong TypeScript knowledge, with production experience using one or more modern frameworks: Vue (preferred), React, or Angular. Familiar with styling using TailwindCSS or plain CSS, and comfortable working with UI component libraries.
  • Backend Skills: Hands-on experience developing backend systems in Kotlin, ideally using Spring or Spring Boot.
  • Database & Infrastructure: Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Gradle, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Efficiency & Simplicity: A focus on building efficient, effective solutions that solve the right problems. You strive for simplicity and avoid over-engineering, ensuring that what you build serves the users and the product’s core goals.
  • Agile & Collaborative Mindset: Experience working in Agile teams, with a preference for pair programming, team programming, and continuous delivery environments.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to navigate complex challenges while keeping the focus on building what matters most.
  • Technical Excellence: A passion for building high-quality, performant, and accessible applications, always with an eye toward efficiency and delivering value to users.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborative Development: Work closely with other engineers using pair programming and team programming practices. We believe that collaboration leads to better outcomes, stronger code, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Full Stack Feature Development: Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features across the stack, from intuitive frontend interfaces to robust backend services, with the aim of delivering real value to users.
  • Backend Development: Lead the creation and maintenance of clean, scalable, and efficient backend code for our Kotlin application, delivering intuitive user experiences across all devices.
  • Frontend Implementation: Develop rich, accessible UIs using TypeScript and modern frameworks, specifically Vue and React. Style components using TailwindCSS or native CSS and leverage component libraries for efficient, consistent development.
  • Architectural and Technical Excellence: Contribute to architectural decisions for both frontend and backend systems by emphasizing practical solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, prioritizing quality over quick fixes. Avoid premature optimization and over-engineering, ensuring that technical excellence effectively supports the product’s success and drives meaningful business outcomes.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Share your knowledge and expertise with fellow engineers, fostering a culture of trust, continuous learning, and self-leadership.
