Runwise is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer who is highly motivated, results-oriented, and passionate about building products that customers love. Runwise (www.runwise.com) is a fast-paced, customer-focused climate-tech startup that controls and runs the key energy systems (heating, water, etc.) in 6000+ buildings throughout the US. Runwise’s unique hardware and software service significantly reduces energy usage, substantially lowering costs and carbon output. As of today, Runwise’s technology takes the equivalent of 50,000 cars worth of carbon emissions off the road each year. Runwise has offices in New York and Boston but is a remote-first product/engineering company, and has been since its creation. We’re seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to contribute to impactful new product features and significantly improve our operational posture. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, test, implement, ship, and operate with excellence the core software deployed in our buildings and the serverless cloud infrastructure that processes & analyzes billions of data points. Your efforts will directly increase our customers’ climate control savings, improve their tenants' comfort, and decrease our carbon footprint. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Being a contributor to our core Golang app and AWS infrastructure. Our primary serverless Go architecture powers our web, mobile web, and native mobile iOS and Android apps, as well as our APIs, which interface with and process significant volumes of data from our building computers and sensor networks. Being a contributor to our core Web App, in React and TypeScript, used by our internal staff and customers to manage their heating, cooling, and monitoring services in their buildings. Being a contributor to our Runwise Smart Platform, in Python, used by our customers and technicians to control heating, cooling, and monitoring services in buildings. Contributing to our Operational Excellence by improving our monitoring & alerting across all aspects of our ecosystem, including cloud and IoT infrastructure. Who you are: You have 2+ years of hands-on experience writing in Golang and/or Python You have 2+ years of hands-on experience with React and TypeScript web applications You have 5+ years of hands-on experience as an engineer You are passionate about building new products and working with systems at scale You have experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, AWS Lambda, EC2, and CloudFormation Salary: $140,000-$200,000 (varied on experience and market rate) What you believe: No job is too small.
