Company Description Within the framework of a large‑scale digital transformation programme, the organisation is progressively modernising and digitising its core business processes, including: Procurement processes, such as the creation of a structured Bill of Quantities (BOQ) catalogue On‑site execution processes, including: Progress management Inspection management Issue management The overall digitalisation of operational activities At the same time, the organisation is defining a strategic vision and roadmap for BIM (Building Information Modeling), both as: A support methodology for design and engineering processes A means to improve information flows between: Design teams Execution/site teams Clients responsible for maintenance and operations Job Description As a Senior Functional & Technical Analyst, you act as a key interface between business stakeholders, architects, and software development teams throughout the entire project lifecycle. Your mission is to: Identify and analyse business problems Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements Ensure delivered solutions fully meet business objectives Provide advisory support to senior management and leadership teams Most assignments relate to site supervision and construction monitoring initiatives, though you may also contribute to other strategic IT projects. You are involved from the earliest project phases and play a consultative and structuring role. Key Responsibilities Business & Functional Analysis Collect, validate, and document business requirements Analyse existing processes, data, and constraints Model business processes and identify improvement opportunities Identify risks, issues, benefits, and business impacts of proposed solutions Translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non‑technical stakeholders Solution Design & Modelling Produce conceptual, logical, process, and data models in collaboration with: Solution Architects Integration Architects Application Architects Security Architects Create functional and technical specifications Design detailed data models and interface specifications Perform modelling using Visual Paradigm Implementation & Delivery Support Support solution implementation and testing activities Ensure solutions meet non‑functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, flexibility) Support data migration and data cleansing Contribute to data governance initiatives Support business teams during transition and change management Ensure alignment between business objectives and IT delivery Stakeholder & Project Collaboration Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders Support cost estimation and identification of efficiency gains Work in Agile / Scrum environments Act as a trusted partner for senior executives and management teams Qualifications Experience Minimum 10 years of experience as a Functional & Technical Analyst Proven experience on IT projects in the engineering and construction sector (minimum 1–2 years) Strong knowledge and practical experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) Functional & Technical Expertise Functional and technical analysis Business process modelling Data modelling Solution and application architecture Modelling using Visual Paradigm Agile, Scrum, and BPMN methodologies Technical Knowledge Java React GIS Microsoft 365 Document management platforms Low‑code platforms (e.g. Mendix) Soft Skills Strong stakeholder management capabilities Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences Highly analytical and critical mindset Methodical, autonomous, and detail‑oriented Flexible and adaptable in changing environments Strong team player Nice‑to‑Have Experience with SAP integrations Experience in the railway or infrastructure sector Language Requirements English: Excellent (minimum C1) French or Dutch: Fluent (C2) Second national language: Functional level acceptable (minimum B2) Education Master’s degree in IT or equivalent
