OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join the Private Credit Finance team at a top-tier global investment firm based in Boston. This fund-focused role offers hands-on experience with complex credit investment structures and direct involvement in quarterly close, financial reporting, capital activity, and audit coordination. The position sits on a lean and high-impact team supporting Bain Capital’s growing Private Credit strategy and offers strong long-term growth potential for professionals with a foundation in public accounting and an interest in alternative investments.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Review quarterly and annual financial statements, NAV packages, fee calculations, and capital activity for private credit funds
  • Support audit coordination, investor reporting, and financial analysis related to fund operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tax, Legal, Operations) to evaluate complex investment structures and accounting implications
  • Assist senior leadership with ad hoc projects related to fundraising, due diligence, and financial decision-making

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA-track preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or investment advisor environment
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and fund accounting principles
  • Private credit exposure highly preferred
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills; ability to interpret financial and legal documents
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $110,000.00 - $132,000.00 per year
