Description

As the Senior Fund Research Analyst you will join a team that is responsible for analysing, selecting and monitoring third party asset managers to manage the Omnis fund range. The team is responsible for maximising the prospects of our funds delivering their investment objectives. To achieve that aim the analyst will:

  • Clearly document and verbally present insightful analysis on managers’ ability to meet their investment objectives.
  • Develop a good awareness for the universes of managers to facilitate peer relative perspective in assessments of manager capabilities.
  • Prioritises manager contact and research agenda effectively to contribute to a deep and rich understanding that is in line with the team’s research agenda and funds-orientated opportunities.
  • Participate fully and be able to lead to completion manager search exercises as needed.
  • Help with the development of the Omnis investment proposition, including looking at new strategies and proposition elements.
  • Understand the crucial role of both qualitative and quantitative approaches to manager research and the importance of a rigorous and disciplined research framework.
  • Adopt a pro-active, inquisitive and expansive view of the fund research rule, including gathering perspectives and knowledge by utilizing all available sources, e.g. conferences, papers, media, Bloomberg etc.
  • Take ownership of development of their own manager research skills.
  • Participate in, and fully contribute to, broader Investment Team roles and initiatives, including strategic and tactical asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management.
  • Work effectively with other key stakeholders including Operations and Compliance.
  • Work enthusiastically where necessary with our adviser network to further understanding of the Omnis fund research function, contributing to the credibility and trust of Omnis within the Openwork Partnership.
