THE ROLE

Senior Game Officers (SGOs) deliver high quality community-centred game hunting compliance services within a state segment (Eastern or Western Victoria), while also contributing to state-wide service delivery. SGOs actively contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate enforcement, education, engagement, and other strategies in accordance with whole of organisational objectives and priorities, to maximise compliance.
SGOs engage with a variety of stakeholders, including licence holders, government, and community groups, and manage their own work programs, under broad direction from the Team Leader, to ensure effective and timely service delivery. SGOs work collaboratively in small regionally based teams and actively contribute and support programs and projects across the broader organisation.

  • issuing Game Licences and related testing;
  • managing open and closed seasons for game species;
