Senior Garment Technologist (Based at Bodyline - Horana) Bodyline is a joint venture between MAS Holdings, Triumph International Germany and Mast Industries USA, offering apparel solutions from concept to delivery. Bodyline specializes in producing fitted garments and superior next-to-skin performance wear; and is the go-to vendor for bra innovations. The company has evolved from making simple minimalist styles for a single customer to multiple styles and silhouettes across product categories for global brands. Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to develop and validate the garment construction up to bodyline capacity and capability by meeting the integration and work with plant integration team and production team to ensure smooth knowledge transferring to the production. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the development assessment meetings with all stakeholders and discuss the toolbox adherence and the risk on proto submission. Responsible to fill the construction sheet with technical data and information’s, detailed construction sheet preparations, whilst assessing the construction feasibility through Design for manufacturability. Lead the risk assessment meetings with external customers and conclude the styles in a production feasible manner. Responsible for sample on time dispatch and sample accuracy to achieve all measurements, quality standards and fit standards. Study the style level construction, performance and Fit risk factors related to matrix and create mechanism to mitigate through action plans and product solutions. Work with technical team (IE/MQA/Bonding tech/ moulding/ pattern techs/ sewing supervisor & sample operators) bringing construction solutions, validating the given construction by Industrial Engineering in the development stage by work with sample execution team confirming the garment is ready for durability conditions. Ensure the plants risk assessment for every new style should be transfer the risk factors by identify during the cut kit sample and review cut kit feedback, incorporate those changes to the style in timely manner. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Degree or Diploma in Apparel or Textile from a recognized university. Experience in the role of sewing technician. Knowledge of production methods such as stitching and pattern cutting and an understanding of manufacturing process and textile properties. Basic knowledge of pattern making bonding and mounding technics are added advantage.
Responsibilities
Lead the development assessment meetings with stakeholders and ensure adherence to construction standards. Work with technical teams to validate garment construction and mitigate risk factors during the production process.
