We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our team based out of our Queretaro office. Responsibilities: Prepare detailed audit schedules in compliance with Mexican financial regulations (e.g., SAT). Provide auditors with timely, accurate data, supporting documentation, and research as requested. Coordinate with internal and external audit teams to ensure smooth audit processes. Maintain audit trails and documentation for all accounting processes. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation of general ledger (GL) accounts. Clear outstanding balances and follow up on reconciling items to ensure accuracy. Ensure the integrity of GL data and proper account classification. Prepare financial reports. Collaborate with departments to prepare annual and quarterly operational budgets. Review and monitor budget submissions for assigned GL accounts, highlighting variances. Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems. Match vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving reports. Validate account coding for accuracy and compliance with internal policies. Ensure timely processing of accounts payable. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred). 5+ years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting. Prior experience working with Mexican companies and knowledge of local regulations is mandatory. Experience with audits and tax compliance in Mexico (SAT regulations, DIOT, CFDI, etc.). Advanced English skills. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and Mexican financial reporting standards. Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite). Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis).
