JOB DESCRIPTION

Carnival Corporation are in search of a Senior General Ethics & Compliance Manager on 12-month fixed term contract. This crucial role will be the Economics Sanctions Programme Lead within the Global Ethics & Compliance Third Party Risk Management team and will hold accountability for the management, oversight and monitoring of the Economic Sanctions Screening programme as well as ensuring appropriate guidance is provided to the business to enable compliance with applicable economic sanctions.
Crucial to the success of this role will be the ability to collaborate with multiple levels of personnel and a variety of brands within Carnival Corporation to identify, assess, monitor and report on compliance risk and report to internal stakeholders, (including brand leadership up to the Board of Directors).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Responsibility for the system used to undertake screening activities, including determination of lists required to be screened relevant to Carnival’s operations, determination of optimum settings within system to ensure adequate risk mitigation, and partnering with Global Finance IT on user access controls and other system governance.
  • Creation and maintenance of guidance to business units required to undertake screening activities and those GE&C team members involved in reviewing potential sanctions alerts to ensure robust and consistent processes.
  • Undertaking regular Quality Assurance reviews of screening and alert review processes and providing regular reporting and metrics on the same.
  • Communication of a ‘Sanctioned Parties’ list to various business stakeholders to enable them to ensure compliance and maintain this current as new alerts or sanctioned parties are identified.Communication of advice on relevant sanctions and associated controls appliable to various business stakeholders, including on crew sourcing, guest restrictions, prohibited product categories and travel
    Positioned within our internal structure from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President), this role is classified as a CUK06, offered as a full-time position, on a fixed term basis for 12 months, we offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

REQUIREMENTS: YOUR EXPERTISE AND LEADERSHIP

To thrive as a Senior General Ethics and Compliance Manager within the Corporate Ethics and Compliance team, we’re looking for:

  • Specific proven experience in Economic Sanctions compliance
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree level education in a subject broadly relevant to ethics/compliance activity (such as Law, Finance, Business Studies) or appropriate supporting training and work experience.
