YOUR PROFILE:

  • Several years of practical experience in financial accounting, with a focus on General Ledger, HGB, and IFRS.

  • HGB knowledge is a must; IFRS knowledge is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven project experience, particularly in accounting process improvements, ERP implementations, and automation projects.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Netsuite) and accounting software (e.g., Datev).
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken) to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with international VAT, transfer pricing, and corporate tax is a plus.
  • Consolidation experience is a plus.
  • A mindset of continuous improvement, actively seeking opportunities to optimize and automate financial processes.
Responsibilities
  • Consolidate and harmonise local GAAPs into HGB and IFRS, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with HGB and IFRS accounting standards, leveraging your deep knowledge of HGB to optimise financial accuracy and transparency.

  • Drive continuous optimisation of fast-close processes to enhance efficiency and timeliness of financial reporting, ensuring streamlined workflows and robust internal controls.
  • Prepare and coordinate audit activities, supporting auditors in conducting internal and external audits while proactively identifying and resolving potential compliance risks.
  • Develop and enforce internal accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and contribute to project work, supporting various accounting and finance-related initiatives, such as:
  • Driving the IFRS conversion project, ensuring a structured and seamless transition.
  • Leading the testing and implementation of ERP automations and scalable accounting processes.
  • Automating and enhancing the consolidation process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in financial consolidation and reporting.
  • Provide analytical support and expert guidance to various departments, leveraging a strong analytical mindset to solve complex accounting challenges.

Reconcile accounts, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all financial statements and transactions.
