Description

We are seeking a Senior General Mechanic / Maintenance Manager with international experience, preferably in Africa or other challenging environments, to take full technical and operational responsibility for maintenance activities across machinery, plants, and company fleets, while coordinating local technical teams and ensuring operational continuity. Key Responsibilities * Manage and supervise mechanical and electromechanical maintenance activities * Maintenance of: * construction machinery * diesel generators * vehicles and operational fleets * mechanical and auxiliary systems * Plan and implement preventive maintenance and manage breakdown interventions * Perform fault diagnosis and hands-on troubleshooting * Coordinate, supervise, and train local mechanics and technicians * Manage spare parts, workshop operations, and suppliers * Prepare technical reports for management * Provide technical support during mobilization of new sites or operations Required Experience & Skills * Minimum 10 years’ experience in general mechanical or industrial maintenance * Proven experience as Maintenance Manager, Mechanical Supervisor, or Senior Mechanic * Strong knowledge of: * diesel engines * hydraulic systems * electromechanical systems * Previous experience in Africa, Middle East, or international construction/industrial projects (strongly preferred) * Ability to work effectively in challenging environments and with limited resources * Practical leadership and ability to manage local teams * Operational technical English (spoken and written) Personal Attributes * Hands-on, solution-oriented approach * High adaptability and flexibility * Reliability and strong sense of responsibility * Ability to work independently * Willingness to transfer skills and knowledge to local staff Package & Benefits * Competitive expat contract * Company-provided accommodation * Company vehicle * Medical insurance * Return flights according to rotation * Visa and work permit support
