JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate daily team operations by conducting regular briefings, allocating tasks, streamlining processes, and ensuring adherence to service standards and manuals. Promote a collaborative team environment and provide subject-matter guidance to meet performance targets and service quality benchmarks.
  • Ensure the team performs routine preventive maintenance on-site by verifying task completion (e.g., genset inspections, oil/water changes, filter replacements), maintaining clean and organized workspaces, and reviewing maintenance reports to prevent equipment failures.
  • Assist the Aftersales Supervisor by delegating complex maintenance cases, leading fault diagnosis, and conducting random site audits. Monitor the quality of maintenance tasks carried out by team members and implement corrective measures when necessary to enhance service standards.
  • Supervise the receipt and verification of spare parts against scheduled work orders, ensure proper usage tracking, and return unused inventory to the warehouse to support efficient inventory management and reduce waste.
  • Ensure all equipment and maintenance vehicles are used responsibly, maintained in clean condition, and any loss or damage is reported promptly using the appropriate forms to maintain accountability and reduce operational risks.Act as the first point of contact for customer feedback by actively listening to their inquiries, concerns, or suggestions. Document and escalate relevant issues to the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure timely resolution and continuous service improvement.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or equipment management are a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in maintenance operations, preferably in power systems (e.g., gensets) or field service environments.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role, managing field technicians or maintenance staff.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures for mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose diesel and gas generator faults and implement appropriate repairs.

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in managing a team, setting performance targets, and conducting evaluations.
  • Ability to mentor and train team members on best practices and safety procedures.
  • Experience in delegating tasks, managing priorities, and making decisions under pressure.
