  • Proven track record in design and development of ground investigation works.

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Approx. 5 - 10 years’ experience of Brownfield land investigation and redevelopment.
  • BSc or MSc in Geotechnical Engineering / Geology / Earth or Environmental Sciences.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership with a professional body
  • Knowledge of UK/EU standards and Local Authority guidance on brownfield land redevelopment.
Responsibilities
  • Reporting to Brownfield Land Associate Director/ Technical Director
  • Understanding of geotechnical and contaminated land risks and the integration of geotechnical solutions on projects.
  • Project Management of brownfield land investigations and assessments
  • Tendering / Pricing
  • Project financial management
  • Plan and manage ground investigations and monitoring
  • Health & Safety risk assessment and implementation of good practice
  • Supervision of site investigations
  • Human Health and Water GQRAs and Gas Risk Assessments
  • Prepare Phase 1, 2 and 3 risk assessment reports
  • Design, manage and validate remediation schemes
  • Supervision and verification of remediation
  • Regulator & client liaison
  • Mentoring and training junior staff.
  • Checking/reviewing reports.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies
