The Senior Geophysicist is responsible for developing the Geophysical team and investigation methods, business development, client liaison, project management of Geophysical Investigations inclusive of the testing, and interpreting of soil and rock materials to produce geophysical assessments and reports.
The position location is based out of our Sydney office with travel required to onsite project work. This is a full-time position.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THE POSITION YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor Degree of Science majoring in Geophysics or Geology
• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Strong technical report writing skills.
• Numerical, analytical and observation skills.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A current driver licence.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
  Potential applicants must undertake a pre-employment medical and pass supervised drug and alcohol test.

• In consultation with Geotechnical Manager, prepare and submit proposals as requested by Clients.
• Business development and client liaison.
• Research and development of geophysical techniques, with business case / cost analysis and return on investment analysis.
• Project management.
• Engagement, review and management of subcontractors including safety documentation.
• To liaise with the Geotechnical Manager to schedule daily/weekly work requirements.
• Undertake geophysical techniques including but not limited to seismic refraction, magnetic surveys, gravity, resistivity, downhole imagery.
