Senior Geospatial Advisor Salary: Competitive Grade: GG14 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. The Senior Geospatial Advisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the development and execution of geospatial strategies, programs, and initiatives. The purpose of this role is to ensure consistent, accurate and efficient collection, management, analysis, and dissemination of geospatial data products across the organisation. The Individual should be able to work well unsupervised and will be able to plan and organise the team’s activities. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES · Develops and implements geospatial policies, procedures, and standards to support organisational objectives. · Directs the work of geospatial teams to ensure high-quality delivery of geospatial products and services. · Collaborates with other executives to identify, prioritise, and meet geospatial needs and requirements. · Oversees the acquisition, management, and dissemination of geospatial data products. · Maintains a comprehensive understanding of geospatial trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. · Ensures that geospatial strategies and programs are aligned with the overall organisational objectives and mission. · Develops and monitors the geospatial budget and ensures that all financial and regulatory requirements are met. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Essential · Master’s degree in Geospatial Information, or a related field. · Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified, or equivalent. · ISO geospatial data standards certification including ISO 19100 and ISO 9001 or equivalent. · Geospatial Quality Assurance (QA/Quality Control (QC) certification from American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) or equivalent. · Extensive proven experience in geospatial management, with substantial proven experience in a leadership role. · Strong knowledge of geospatial and its applications across various industries, specifically in national security, defence and intelligence. · Conceptual and strategic analytical capacity to understand geospatial information systems and business operational issues. · Strong leadership and project management skills. · Excellent knowledge with geospatial data standard and policies, i.e. NSG, ISO, IHO, DGWIG, NATO (STANG), OGC, W3C, SDO. · Strong analytical, verbal, and writing communication skills. · Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.
