The Senior Geospatial Data Architect will play a key role in designing and implementing advanced Earth Observation and climate data solutions that support mitigation and adaptation initiatives. This position is ideal for someone passionate about climate action, data innovation, and cross-border collaboration. \n Accountabilities: Advise and guide the AI-ready data architecture and service definition of data spaces for institutional clients. Execute needs and gap assessments among stakeholders, providers, and users to identify data requirements. Design and define overall system architecture and technology approach, harmonising heterogeneous data sets. Create detailed technical specifications for external partners, ensuring clarity and quality standards. Review partner deliverables to ensure alignment with project goals and specifications. Identify technical risks and provide trade-off recommendations between scope, budget, and timeline. Support project delivery by writing deliverables, participating in meetings, and managing workload independently. Represent the team and organisation in online and in-person engagements. Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and the creation of new services and products. Requirements: Proven experience in geospatial data architecture, Earth Observation, or climate data systems. Strong understanding of AI-ready data infrastructures, data lakes, and system integration. Experience working independently as well as collaboratively in remote or distributed teams. Ability to design and implement technical solutions that meet complex client requirements. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities, capable of translating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Willingness to contribute to climate mitigation and adaptation initiatives and to learn continuously within a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
