THE OPPORTUNITY:

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Geospatial Surveyor to join our Cork team. Reporting to the Head of Department, you’ll lead and deliver high-profile infrastructure and manufacturing projects while mentoring junior colleagues and working with the latest surveying technologies.

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL I BE DOING IN MY NEW ROLE?

  • Setting out for different trades in construction and completing survey capture and control works.
  • Preparing and analysing data for set-out and survey purposes.
  • Utilising modern survey methods and devices such as Total Stations, GNSS, UAV, HDS, imaging tools, GPS, and Data Collectors.
  • Recording surveying information accurately and consistently on site, in line with agreed specifications and project scope.
  • Performing detailed field and office surveying work, including the use of post-processing software such as AutoCAD, StarNet, and BRICSCAD.
  • Proactively leading a team of surveyors on site, allocating resources, and supporting delivery across key projects.
  • Delivering projects on time, within budget, and to scope, while ensuring compliance with company Health & Safety (H&S) standards.
  • Identifying and rectifying H&S nonconformities, ensuring requirements of the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System are met.
  • Adopting and upholding company surveying standards and attending briefings as required.
  • Providing feedback and insights at site/management meetings.
  • Supporting, training, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Working collaboratively with clients and colleagues to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Performing any other duties as required by the business.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

  • Chartered Surveyor status or professional membership of relevant surveying bodies (desirable).
  • Relevant qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or similar.
  • 7–8+ years’ experience in geospatial or engineering surveying, ideally on major infrastructure projects.
  • Proven expertise in control networks, traversing, and network adjustments.
  • Experience in laser scanning and large-project data processing desirable.
  • Strong CAD/post-processing knowledge (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, StarNet, BricsCAD).
  • Full clean EU driving licence; Safe Pass card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Right to work in Ireland.
