SENIOR GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

We are looking for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer, ideally someone who has proven capability as a doer-seller with strong interpersonal, client communication skills and technical expertise. The successful applicant will have the right flare and ability to support our Geotechnical and Hydropower team in building on the existing portfolio in BC Metro Vancouver area, as well as opportunities to support projects across a broad spectrum of sectors within Canada and globally.
Your experience would be applied to planning, investigation, assessment, design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure. Proposal, project and resource management would be an asset to lead and support our integrated and growing team.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a key client contact for proposals and projects, to develop and grow under existing MSAs and expand our portfolio to include new clients.
  • Provide mentorship to junior and intermediate staff on development and execution of project scope and work with our senior team to meet client objectives through the life cycle of the project.
  • Preparation of geotechnical investigation and design reports, construction specifications, and other technical documentation to support infrastructure development and risk assessment.
  • Provide support in construction Quality Assurance management, including understanding construction drawings and design reports to support construction and provide guidance and troubleshooting for field testing, performance of materials, and monitoring results.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of existing and emerging opportunities, trends, regulatory requirements and best practices, etc.
  • Understanding of complex analytical results and application for design and construction. A strong understanding of seismic risk assessment, lateral spreading, ground improvement and deep foundations would be an asset.
