What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage ground investigations from concept to completion.
  • Deliver interpretative geotechnical and geo-environmental reports, providing clear, commercially focused advice to clients.
  • Undertake geotechnical design including slope stability, foundations (shallow and deep), retaining structures, and earthworks specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers and geologists.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, helping to expand the company’s network and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, transport, and environmental engineering.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical and safety standards, on time and on budget.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related discipline (MSc desirable).
  • Chartered or near-chartered status with a relevant professional body.
  • Strong technical expertise in site investigation, geotechnical design, and interpretative reporting.
  • Ability to lead projects and manage client relationships confidently.
  • Good working knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, RocScience, Oasys, gINT, PLAXIS, or Wallap.
  • A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
