Description

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will have an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale, world-class projects covering geotechnical aspects of design, construction and operations applied in our three markets of infrastructure, mining, and oil sands. You will be working on water resources projects including storm ponds and water dams, tailings containment dams, roads, railways, and heavy civil infrastructure. This role will provide you with excellent technical challenges and an opportunity to grow your career as well as contribute to the growth of our Infrastructure team in Calgary.

  • Manage and work on projects involving terrain analysis, site investigations, instrumentation installation and monitoring, geohazard risk assessment and control, geo-structure and foundation (deep and shallow) design for facilities, retaining structures and bridges, construction management, and review, design, construction and remediation of water retention facilities.
  • Build and develop client relationships.
  • Develop your project management skills as you lead design and construction projects.
  • Undertake business development and preparation of proposals to contribute to the growth of the Infrastructure Team.
  • Problem solve and find innovative solutions to technical issues.
  • Work with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Get exposure to world-class technical challenges and have opportunities to learn from the best in the business.

  • Travel to project locations, typically in Alberta, but also to other Canadian provinces and international locations.
